From the time we were children we knew this song, "Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus than to trust and obey."

It's one thing to talk about trust, another to live it.   And here's the problem:  if you don't trust God, you probably won't obey his commands.   So these two things go hand-in-hand.   Don't believe it?  Here's an example:  imagine the Lord asked, you to stay take a huge step of faith, something completely outside of your comfort zone.  You would likely hesitate.   But, would you eventually take the steps, even if it may no sense to you?   If you trusted God--if you have had seen him work time and time again in your life--you would eventually take the step of faith, even if it made no sense.   Why?  Because you trust that He's got your best interest at heart. (And you've probably figured out that He has something pretty remarkable up his sleeve).

God is trustworthy and He won't let you down.  Once you settle that issue in your heart once and for all, obedience is a natural response.
