Sloppy Joes


  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 cup tomato juice or 1/2 cup of catsup
  • 1 tsp salt


  1. Sauté hamburger and chopped onion in skillet; drain
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients; stir and simmer 15 mins to a half hour
  3. Serve on  6 to 8 hamburger buns

Note: if mixture is too juicy sift in a small amount of flour while stirring vigorously
