Annual Passes for Walt Disney World Theme Parks explained for you

Platinum annual pass: this pass offers admission to Walt Disney World Theme Parks for a year with no blackout dates. It can be used in more than one park on the same day, also known as a park hopping, and includes use of Disney transportation as well as free standard parking in the theme parks and a year's worth of Photo pass downloads.   Annual passes can be purchased at the entrance to any of the theme parks, they can be renewed there or by mail.   A valid government issued photo ID must be presented for purchase by adults.  The cost is about $849 for adults and kids ages three and up.  Expect discounts and benefits Annual Passes such as reduced rates at select Disney resorts at certain times of the year, a newsletter called the Mickey monitor and DisneyPassholder.com provide updates regarding discount offers.  Annual Passes  expires one year after its first use.   A discount renewal rate applies, if a pass is renewed before expiration.

The old pass must be presented in order to receive the discounted renewal rate.  A pass may be renewed by mail online or at any Disney theme park.

Platinum Plus Annual Pass:  This pass has all that the Platinum pass offers and more, namely admission to both water parks, ESPN Wild World of Sports complex (non premium events only) a year's worth of photo pass downloads plus a round of golf at the Oak Trail Golf Course.   Platinum Plus annual pass holders are eligible for the same discounts and benefits as Platinum annual pass holders.   The cost is about $949 for adults and kids ages three and up.

The Premier Annual Pass: This pass provides admission to all Disney theme parks and water parks in the USA, including Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure for one year. It also includes a year's worth of photo pass downloads and admission to the ESPN Wide World Sports Complex (non premium events only) and the Oak Trail Golf Course.  Unlimited Park hopping and standard theme park parking are included, as are the same discounts offered with Disney's other annual passes (select merchandise, food and resort discounts).   The Premium Pass cost is about $1,579 plus tax. It must be purchased in person at the US Disney theme park.  Guests already having a Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Resort  annual pass may upgrade to the premiere pass.
