Basil Pork Chops- A recipe from Taste of Home


  • 1/4 C packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp canola oil, divided
  • 4 boneless port loin chops


  1. Mix first four ingredients; gradually stir in 1 tbsp oil (mixture will be crumbly).  Rub over both sides of the pork chops.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the remaining oil over medium heat; cook the chops until a thermometer reads 145˚ , 4-6 mins per side.  Let Stand 5 mins before serving.
