Game-Stopper Chili- a recipe from Taste of Home

Ingredients
  • 1 24 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 pd boneless beef chuck steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 pd spicy pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 2 med onions, chopped
  • 1 med sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 1 med green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup hot chunky salsa
  • 1/4 cup med pearl barley
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp jarred raosted minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 4 cups beef stock
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican chees blend 
  • corn chips

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients except the cheese and chips in a slow cooker.  cook, covered on low until the beef is tender, 6-8 hours.
  2. Stir in cheese until melted.  Serve chili with chips.
