"Hey Y'all I have a new best friend, its Paula Dean's air fryer"

paula dean's air fryer

I got an air fryer for Christmas and it has been so much fun experimenting with it.  I own Paula Dean's air fryer cookbook and have tried numerous recipes from the book, i'm going to share my favorite 2:  fried oreos and sweet potato fries.  Both so easy and so yummy

Sweet Potato Fries (this recipe serves 2)
1 sweet potato, peeled and cut into 3/4 in
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp maple serving
oil for spraying

1. In a shallow baking dish, toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, Cajun seasoning and maple syrup.

2. Lay potatoes in air fryer basket in a single layer,  do not overlap, spray well with oil.  Set temperature to 400 degrees and air fry for 5 mins, shaking basket occasionally.  Turn potatoes and air fry for 5 mins more.  Allow fires to cool slightly before serving.

Air fried Oreos (Serves 8)
1 12 oz can refrigerated crescent dough
8 Oreo cookies
oi. for spraying

1.  Separate dough triangles.  Wrap each dough triangle around one Oreo, completely encasing cookie.  Press dough to seal.

2.  Working in batches of 4 spray each Oreo with oil and place in a single layer in air fryer basket line in parchment paper.  Set temperature to 350 degrees, and air fry for 5 mins.  Turn Oreos. spray with oil and air fry for 3 mins more, or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining Oreos.  (Note:  I sprinkle lots of powder sugar on them, they taste like the ones you get at the fair).  Serve warm or cold

Hope you enjoy these like I have.
