Mississippi Mud Cake

Recipe from Roberson Family Cookbook | submitted by Brenda Langston

Ingredients (cake)

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa
  • 2 C sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 C self rising flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c walnuts

Ingredients (frosting)

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 Tbsp coca
  • 8 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • powder sugar
  • 1/2 C walnuts


  1. Mix together ingredients for the Cake. 
  2. Pour into a 9x13 pan. 
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 mins
  4. When cake is done, spinkle with mini marshmallows
  5. Mix together ingredients for the frosting, mix powder sugar until thick.
  6. Spread over cake
  7. Enjoy!!!
